MRS. GEORGE POBANZ
Mrs. Pauline Henrietta Pobanz (nee Dettmann) died at the home of her son George Pobanz in Edford, Saturday, Nov. 23, 1918, death being caused by dropsy. Deceased was born in Lukowitz(sic), Germany, Feb. 7, 1835, was married May 2, 1852, to Geor. W. Pobanz. She came to America in 1863 and since 1864 has made her home in Edford. The funeral was held Monday from the St. Peter's church, Rev. G. D. Fleer officiating, and interment took place in the Edford cemetery. She is survived by one sister, one daughter, Mrs. Gus Miller, four sons, George W., Gustav (Moline), William (Edford), and Herman (Green River), forty-six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren. Three daughter, Ida, Ottillie, and Augusta (Mrs. Julius Meier), and one son, August, preceded her in death. She was well known resident and well loved by her many relatives and friends.
