Adams County News, Jan. 29, 1902
J. H. Crenshaw, a printer who has been employed in the News office since Nov. 11th, last year was found dead in his bedroom over the Temperance hall this afternoon. Heart failure was the direct cause of death super-induced by a too liberal use of a stimulants and exposure in a cold room. Coroner. H. E. Gritman took charge of the remains, but deemed an inquest was unnecessary. Little is known of the dead man and nothing was found in his clothing except a letter written in 1886, three likenesses, two cheap jack knives, a copper cent, a receipt for poll tax dated eighteen years ago and a card bearing the name, "Lotta Crenshaw, 334 Turk St."
Note: Per WA. State Records, buried in Potters Field Ritzville
