Lloyd A DeWall, son of Lester and Cornelia (Van DenBosh) DeWall, was born February 15, 1948 at Estelline, South Dakota. He grew up in the Dempster-Castlewood area and received his education at Castlewood. He attended Lake Area Vocational School in Watertown. Following his education he did drafting at DuAl manufacturing in Sioux Falls South Dakota and later did maintenance work at Sioux Valley Hospital and eh Downtown Holiday Inn. Lloyd also worked as a realtor in Sioux Falls before moving to Castlewood in 1993. He died Friday, March 15, 2002 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls SD at the age of 54 years and 1 month.
He was a past member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Sioux Falls where he served as a deacon. Lloyd was a faithful blood donor for the American Red Cross Blood Drive. He also enjoyed hunting.
Grateful for having shared his life are one daughter, Jessica Kaderabek and her husband Michael of Worthing, SD; one son Joshua DeWall of Harlingen TX; two grandchildren, Tyler and Zachery Kaderabek; three sisters, Carolyn Johnson and Brenda Boyd and her husband Brad, all of Castlewood, Coleen Patmore and her husband Dan of Winner, SD; one brother Del DeWall and his wife Michele of Castlewood; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relative and friends.
