Born Jan. 25, 1891, near Leland , Oscar T. Ambroson was the son of Ambrose and Trina Carlson Ambroson. He was baptized and confirmed at West Prairie Lutheran church and received his education in the Leland schools.
He farmed with his parents until his marriage to Tilda Anderson March 23, 1910, at the Lake Mills Lutheran church. The couple farmed and raised their family in Leland until retiring in 1955, Mrs. Ambroson died March 21. 1956. He was then married to Norma Allen Tourangeau April 27, 1957, in Minneapolis.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Arnold T. Ambroson and Oscar M. Ambroson of Leland , Dr. Roger D. Ambroson of Redmond, Oregon, Mrs. Pete(Carmen) Rmnash of San Marcus, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Thomas of
Reno, Nev.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred T. Amproson of Mason City and two step-sons, A Richard Tourangeau of Carmel, Calif., and L. Robert Tolirangeau of Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two sons, Arthur and Orrian, three brothers, Walter, Eddie and Irving and two sisters Mrs. Nettie Eidahl and Allott Ambro son.
Funeral services for Ambroson were held Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Leland with the Rev. David F. Johnson officiating. Wayne Ambroson was soloist for the services acccompanied by Mrs. Wayne Ambroson. Mrs. Marlin Notle was organist. Casket bearers were Vance Ambroson, Ron Ambroson, 0. Thomas Ambroson , James Moore, Jerry Johnson. and
Gary Evenson. Burial was in Forest home cemetery in Leland with the Petersen ftineral home in charge.
