Gordon Alan "Gordy" Rolofson, 50 of Evergreen, CO, formerly of Greenwood, NE, died Sept. 26,2007 in Evergreen, CO. He was born Dec. 9, 1956, to Wayne Edward and Marguerite LaRue (Stearnes) Rolofson in Lincoln, NE. He graduated from Waverly High School in 1975. He moved to Colorado in 1980. He was the owner and operator of MLR Services, doing service work for property owners for 21 years. He loved hiking, the outdoors, photography and his family.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Gary McNew, and a nephew, Cory Rolofson. He is survived by his daughter Amber Rose Rolofson of Idaho Springs, CO; by three brothers, four sisters, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law: Kenneth and Anena Rolofson of Kendallville, Ind., Wanda McNew of Colorado Springs, CO, Pamela and Frank Green of Nashville, TN, Bradley Rolofson of Eagle, NE. Glen and Diane Rolofson of Greenwood, NE, Kimberly and Robert Madison of Kearney, NE, and Sharon Webb of Lincoln; by six nieces: Heather McNew, Katie McNew, Miranda Green, Kylee Rolofson, Jamie Bassenback, and Jennifer Madison; by eight nephews: Lee Rolofson, Sean Green, Jason Green, Adam Rolofson, Christopher Webb, Timothy Webb, Matthew Webb, and Daniel Webb; a grandniece: Chole Bassenback; a grandnephew: Riley McNew; aunts and uncles: Ervin and Marcy Rolofson, Willard and Alice Spath, Carol Mieth, Eleanor Green, and Beverly Brey; and numerous cousins.
A celebration of life service was held October 5 at The Barn in Evergreen Memorial Park in Evergreen, CO Pallbearers were Amber Rolofson, Butch Burr, Dannie Burr, Frank Green, Bob Madison, Brad Rolofson, Glen Rolofson, Ken Rolofson, Layne Rolofson and Alex Tate. Honorary Pallbearers were Bryan Burr, Jason Green, Sean Green, Adam Rolofson, Erv Rolofson, Lee Rolofson, Willard Spath, Chris Webb, Daniel Webb, Matthew Webb and Tim Webb.
