Found in The State 14 April 1963: Mrs. Jo Ann Kelly Adams, 27, of 1117 Lee Circle, West Columbia, died at the Baptist Hospital Saturday afternoon. She was born March 15, 1936 in Richland County, the daughter of Archie B. Kelly and Louise Lowman Kelly, and had lived in Columbia most of her life. She was a graduate of Olympia High School, class of 1954, also a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church and a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Springdale Women's Club, and a secretary for the Huckabee Truck Company. Survivors are her husband, Omar Adams of West Columbia; one son, Michael O. Adams of West Columbia, her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Archie B. Kelly of Columbia; three brothers, A. B, Jr., J. D. and Pete Kelly of Columbia; and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eunice Lowman of Columbia. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday from the St. Luke's Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Clyde E. Bedenbaugh and the Rev. Henry Wingard. Interment will be in the Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia. Active pallbearers will be Lonnie Shull sr., Charles Cane, Don Walters, G. L. Harmon, Wyman Sox and Charlie Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. C. F. Crews, L. W. Brasington, and the church council of St. Luke's Church, also the Springdale City Council.
