He was predeceased by his wife, Ann (Pellon) Altif in 1976; his eldest son, Mark Altif (1992); two sisters, Lillian Hashem and Jean Maitland. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Mary (Awad) and Abraham Altif. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Private burial in Hope Cemetery held at the convenience of the family.
