Mrs. Andrews was born in the Birch Ridge section of the town of Bethel, now on the Jeffersonville rural mail route, May 14, 1852, a daughter of Richard Williamson of London, England, and Catherine Divine of Ireland. Over forty years ago she married Thomas Andrews of Livingston Manor, who bought a home near the Williamson farm, where he died twenty-nine years ago. Several years later Mrs. Andrews came here and bought the Tailor Schlappe place, where she lived since. Last May her former neighbor at Birch Ridge, Mae Fitzpatrick, now Mrs. Frank Shelley, and her husband retired from the Middletown state hospital, where they had been employed for about thirty years, and came here to live with and take care of Mrs. Andrews in her declining years. They will continue to live on the place as owners.
Mrs. Andrews was the last of the Williamson family. The only relative living are a stepson, William H. Andrews of Livingston Manor; a nephew, William Williamson of New York, and a niece, Mrs. Thomas Griffiths of Dickson City, Pa. A brother Frank Williamson, who lived with her here, died some years ago.
