-Bill Baird, 84, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in an Abilene Hospital. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Greg Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Necessity Cemetery.
Bill was born on July 11, 1926 in Perry, Oklahoma to parents Clifton Earl Baird and Lucille Hill Baird. He married Lavone Richardson on July 22, 1947 in Los Angeles, California. He attended Caddo High School, was a floor mechanic, member of the First Christian Church, and a US Navy Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Lavone Baird of Breckenridge; daughter, Vivian LaRene Parkinson and husband, Jerry of Milne Sand, New Mexico; sons, Bobby Baird and wife, Lynn of Breckenridge; Billy Dean Baird of Breckenridge, and Ralph Scott Baird of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
