Andrew J. “Jack” Multer, Age 85, Of Battle Creek, Died Friday, July 3, 2015, at Borgess Medical Center surrounded by his family. Jack was born on January 27, 1930, in Elkhart, IN, the son of Lester R. and Nina B. (Ford) Multer. He had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Coldwater High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force. On October 23, 1949, he was united in marriage to the former Claire E. Newberry who survives. Jack had been employed with Post Cereals for 38 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, an avid reader, golfer and loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Bruce (Susan Allgaier) Multer, Michael (Cathy) Multer and Mark (Kim) Multer; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Phyllis McAdow. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July, 9, 2015, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. A private graveside will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the National Stroke Foundation. www.henryfuneralhome.org
