A 23 year old Petersburg man was killed instantly Friday when a bulldozer ran over him while he was working on the Rough Run section of Grant County.
He was Charles Lee (Butch) Alt, an employee of the Carl E. Smith Construction Company of Sandyville, WV which is engaged in work on the Alantic Seabord Gas Line.
The victim was a son of the late Berkley Snowden Alt, who passed last Aug 13, and Mrs. Denisa Lee (Judy) Alt.
He was a graduate of Potomac State College, Keyser and West Virginia University, and was employed as a construction worker by Smith Firm.
Besides his Mother, he is survived by a sister, Rebecca Sue Alt, a student at Fairmont State College and a brother, Benny Alt who still resides at home.
