GEORGE QUICKSALL BISHOP, passed away on the 11th of April in Quitman, Georgia. He was predeceased by his wife of forty five years, Annie Wade Bishop. He is survived by six children; Matilda Bishop O'Neil of Suwanee, Fl, George Q. Bishop, jr, of Jacksonville, Ann Bishop Cowdrey of Lake City, Fl, Mary Bishop Cassady of Middleburg, Fl, Joan Bishop Killebrew,Orange Park, Fl and James W. Bishop of
New York City and many grandchildren. He attended school in Thomasville, Ga and Berea College in Berea, Ky & worked as a school teacher, and bookkeeper in Thomasville; The DuPont Company at its Savannah River Plant near Aiken, S.C., and the Gibbs Shipyards in Jacksonville, Florida. After his retirement, he and his wife returned to Allendale, S.C where they had acquired property during his years with the DuPont Company. Some years later he moved to Quitman, Georgia where his wife was born and remained there until his death.

A graveside memorial service will be follwed by a "Celebration of Life" party at the Cherry Lake Retreat of his daughter Mary and her husband, George Cassady.
