Veta May Kelley, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at her home. She was 77 years old.

Visitation was Thursday, May 2 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service is Today, Friday, May 3 at Holt Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Kevin Roberts will officiate.

Burial will be in Locust Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Rex Murphy, Michael Cook, Shirlene Kelley, Marcus Russell, Bob Kelley, and James Kelley. Honorary pallbearers include Jeremy Jay Murphy, Sr., Allen Murphy, Terry Murphy, Jayden Murphy, Jeremy Jay Murphy, Jr., and Brandon Murphy.

The daughter of Foy and Lillian (Roberts) Ballard was born on April 11, 1936 in Pragg, OK.

Veta enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, and gardening. She was a member of The Ark Church in Maize, KS.

Her parents; her husband, Rex J. Kelley; a grandson, Jeremy Jay Murphy, Sr.; and a brother, Foy Ray Ballard preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Verlene Murphy and Mike Cook, and Shirlene Kelley, all of Wichita, KS; a sister, Ila Jenkins; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
