Kate was the mother of 3 sons Peter Haynes, William Smith and James Hiram and 5 Daughters Virginia Kate, Catherine Tennessee, Nancy Pauline, Margaret Elizabeth and Mary Frances. Her son Peter Haynes Darter,Jr., died about 6mo. old from pneumonia. Kate passed away at an early age leaving her children without a mother at young ages. Mary was only 3 yrs. old when she passed away and cannot really remember much about her but has always missed her.
