Mack Lyrum James, 86, of 382 Wesley Street, died December 5, 1988, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

A native of Spartanburg, he was the widower of Annie Louise Steadings James and son of the late Andrew and Nancy Fowler James. He was a member of Arkwright Baptist Church and retired from Spartan Mills.

Survivors include two daughters, Earline Gosnell and Dorothy James of the home; three sisters, Belle Cox and Pearl Smith of Spartanburg and Mae Vause of Georgia.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Arkwright Baptist Church by the Reverands Wayne Reynolds, Ruper Guest and Curtis Daniels. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Bernard Fortenberry, John Steadings, Steve Steadings, James Hammett, Gerald Cox and Don Tisdale.
