Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Mary Blount, 76-year-old Hammon pioneer, were conducted at 4:30 oíclock Monday afternoon in the Hammon Methodist church with Rev. Powers, pastor, officiating. She passed away on Saturday in a local hospital.
Mrs. Blount was born May 10, 1867 in Louisiana and came to western Oklahoma in 1900 with her husband, Dr. E. E. Blount, who preceded her in death. They lived on a farm near Hammon.
Survivors are Mrs. Carroll Hensley, a daughter of Hammon; three sons, Clyde Blount, Elmer Blount and Eddie Blount, also all of Hammon; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Rudloph(sic) Hedlund, of Elk City whom Mrs. Blount reared.
Other survivors are one sister, 17 other grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Burial was in Red Hill cemetery south of Hammon, with Savage funeral home of Elk City in charge of arrangements.
