Excerpt from her obituary: "During World War II she was employed by the War Department, Springfield Ordnance District and later was employed at the Internal Revenue Service in Hartford. She retired in 1977 with over 35 years of government service. She enjoyed being with her family. She also enjoyed knitting, cut work, crocheting afghans and playing cards, especially Bonko with her Bonko friends."
