Cloifford E. Bower, 71, of Muncy RD 1, died Thursday, April 30, 1992, in Muncy Valley Hospital, after being stricken at home.
He and his wife, the former Betty J. Cameron, observed their 34th wedding anniversary April 19.
He retired in 1982 after 23 years of employment as an equipment operator for the Pennsylavania Department of Transportation. He was also a self-employed farmer.
He was a member of Milton Lodge 171, Loyal Order of Moose.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army with the military police.
Born Dec.3,1920 in Washington Twp., he was a son of George and Mary Bower Bower.
Surviving, besides his wife, are three sons, Clifford E. Jr., of Montgomery, John R., of Allenwood, and David A.,at home; a daughter, Mary E. Buck, and a stepson, Gary W. Cameron, both of Montgomery; four sisters, Mrs. Naomi Kidd, of Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Francis Hill, of South Williamsport, Mrs. Catharine Leech and Mrs. Marie Bender, both of Watsontown; five grandchildren, a step-grandson, and two great-grandsons.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Betzer's, 40 East Houston Avenue, Montgomery, with the Rev. Max W. Furman, pastor of Elimsport United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Brick Church Cemetery, Montgomery RD 1.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Graveside military services will be conducted by joint veterans organizations.
