Ammy was the son of Onesime Deprey and Elizabeth Anne Michaud. He married Albertine Alice Marin, the daughter of Thomas Hilaire Marin and Phoebe Ouellette, on 14 June, 1945 in Wallagrass, Aroostook Co., Maine. He died at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 18 days.

'Ammy Deprey, 74, beloved husband of Albertine (Marin) Deprey, died June 11, 1998, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Wallagrass, July 24, 1923, the son of Lezime and Elizabeth (Michaud) Deprey. Ammy was a produce inspector for 38 years and was an active member in the Catholic Order of Foresters in which he held the position of recording sectretary and state court trustee for 30 years. He was also a Eucharist Minister and was an involved member of the St. Joseph's Parish. He was Father of the Year in 1990. Mr. Deprey was very active in his community, serving as animal control officer, constable and health officer for 17 years for the town of Wallagrass. Ammy was an avid fisherman, gardener and card player. his wife and children were his whole life. he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his wife in Soldier Pond, he is survived by one daughter, Karen Puckette and son-in-law, Joe, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven sons and six daughters-in-law, Leland and Betty of Caribou, Vernon and Fran of Springvale, Ivan of Biddeford, Alden and Karen of Hermon, Ruben and Sue of Gardnier, Galen and Faye of Winterport, and Kevin and Tammy of Carmel; 15 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Alice Nicknair of Presque Isle. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. Friends called at the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent, 7-9 p.m. sunday and 8 a.m. Monday until time of departure for Soldier Pond. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph's catholic church in Soldier Pond, with Rev. James Albert officiating. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Soldier Pond.'
