Orville T. Bard, 83, of Fulton County Medical Center Extended Care Unit, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Fulton County Medical Center.
Born Oct. 14, 1917, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Newton and Tina Strait Bard.
He was a farmer, retiring in 1982.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 561; McConnellsburg VFW; and Mercersburg VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Rokosky Bard. He was preceded in death by a sister, Winnifred Chesnut; and three brothers, Arnold M. Bard, Lynn Bard and Orlen Bard.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St. in McConnellsburg. The Rev. Donald Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, with military services by Fulton County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 2 p.m."
