He was the son of Native Americans Ules (no surname) and Llulle Maltam (no surname). He was baptized at Mission Santa Clara when he was about one year old on May 29, 1791 (SCL Baptism 01903). Cucufate died at Mission Santa Cruz and was buried in the mission cemetery on November 19, 1791 (SCZ Death 00001).
His remains, along with many others, were transferred to this cemetery in 1885.
