Birth: 1769, England
Death: 1849
Yadkin County
North Carolina, USA

Nathan Craft married Betsey Cooper in Stokes County, North Carolina, in 1795 and had the following children with her.

Alice

Leah

Nathan Jr.

Rev. Thomas Craft (1802-1869)
Memorial # 21823529

Vachel Craft (1804-1866)
Memorial # 94568521

Nathan owned 500 acres of land in Lewisville, Forsyth County, NC, but after the death of Betsey, whose burial place in Forsyth County is unknown, he sold this land to his sons Vachel and the Rev. Thomas Craft, and moved to Surry (later Yadkin) County.

Nathan next married Mary Padgett in 1827 in Surry. After she died, he then married Margaret Day Tucker, widow of Benjamin Mitchell Tucker, in 1835.

It is said that Nathan donated the land for Saint Paul's United Methodist Church in Hamptonville, Yadkin County, and also for the Yadkin school nearby.

He and other members of the family, including Mary Padgett, were buried near the pear trees, on his own property. The original house is still standing but no grave markers have survived.

Margaret Tucker is probably buried elsewhere.
