Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Baptist Church, services conducted by Rev. Chas. Thompson and T. Hollis Epton
Interment in Bennington Cemetery

He was killed, while "robbing a bee tree". Another man and him were chopping a tree down to get the honey. The tree began to fall and they ran. John stumbled and fell on a knife that was sticking up in a bucket he was carrying. the knife entered his eye and killed him.
