Agnes Aaron was the daughter of Thomas Henry and Mary Teresa (Lilly) Aaron. Her CSC date of entrance was May 4, 1877, and in the October of that year, her sister Margaret (later to be known as Sr. M. Sebastian) also entered the CSC order in Notre Dame. Agnes and Margaret were cousins to CSC sisters Harriet "Sr. M. Elizabeth" Lilly (1820-1901) and Edith "Sr. M. Cecilia" Lilly (1848-1885).

Agnes became known as Sr. M. Cointha and served as a Music Teacher during her 68 year career as a CSC sister. She taught at 16 schools across the country, and was assigned to St. Peter and Paul School in her hometown of Chatsworth, IL from 1925-1927.

Note - The CSC records indicate her birthdate was January 31,1853, however her hometown church (St. Nicholas)'s baptismal records note her birthdate as January 29, 1853. Additionally, the church's sesquicentennial book lists her name as St. M. Corintha.
