John, Mary (Maria) and Mary's brother, Albert Brunk emigrated from Hungary. They departed from Bremen Germany on 4 Mar 1905 and arrived in the United States at the port of New York on the 21 of Mar 1905, on the vessel Main. John and Mary were naturalizes on 03 July 1911 and lived in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

On Johann's tombstone there is only a death date abt. 1914. Searching through the New Brunswick Times news paper archives, I did not find a death notice but I did find a Tribute from Johns fellow workers:

Tribute of Respect

Be it resolved, that we, the under signed, on behalf of the Turn Verein of New Brunswick, N.J. do offer our sincerest respect for the loss of our late member and fellow worker, John Krohn.

Be it further resolved, that this notice be published in the newspaper, as a notice to his family of his further tribute and of his sincere services.
