KATIE ELLEN BAIRD DIES HERE MONDAY
Mrs. Katie Baird, a retired practical nurse, died in a Longmont rest home Monday after five years illness. She was 72
Mrs. Baird who had been serious ill the past six months, was born in Elkhart, Illinois, August 30, 1884. She was married to Morris E. Baird in Iowa, Oct 14, 1901. They farmed at Rolla, Kansas, for 21 years before coming to Longmont in July 1928. Mr. Baird died in 1945.
Mrs. Baird, a life-long member of the Methodist Church, belonged to First Methodist Church in this city and also took an active interest in Women's Christian Temperance Union activities.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gladys E. Jones of Aurora, Colorado and one grandson, and one niece, Mrs. Perry Stoneking, living in Illinois.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from Lewellen Funeral Home. Rev. Donald ?? (can't read last name) officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
