The Kingston Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society recently published (June 2022) a transcription record for Morven Cemetery. In an addendum, they note that:
"This Addenda begins with additions to the transcription of Morven Cemetery, completed in 2021, because the information was illegible or not evident at that time. It is followed by a list of inscriptions for stones whose location can no longer be determined.
"The information comes from two previous transcriptions. The first was completed by Dr. H.C. Burleigh (1893–1980) in 1938, typed, and deposited with Queen's University Archives in Kingston, Ontario. It is accessible at http://db-archives.library.queensu.ca/index.php/morven.
"The second transcription was completed by Arthur Bell (1914–1992) in about 1975. His handwritten notebooks include numerous other notes about each stone: its placement in the cemetery, its size, and any surrounding landscaping that assisted in locating the stone. This is an unpublished work, the original of which is in the possession of Sharon J. Cadieux; permission to review it is greatly appreciated. Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archives in Napanee has a photocopy."
Willie Battie is mentioned in the addendum among those whose stones can no longer be located. The transcription, previously transcribed, read as follows:
Willie/ died/ Oct. 3, 1855/ Æ 5 Y. 5 M./ son of C. & N. BATTY/
