Andrea Dawn Standlee, Blue Eye, MO, was born January 19, 1992 in Springfield, MO to Gregory Dale and Amy Diane (Settles) Standlee. She went home to be with her Lord on September 14, 2010.

Andrea attended Blue Eye School, where with hard work; she excelled and graduated with honors on May 22, 2010. She loved learning, swimming and especially working with children. Andrea was attending Ozark Technical College at the Branson Campus, where she was pursuing teaching as a career.

Andrea is survived by her parents, Greg and Amy Standlee; one sister, Megan Diane Standlee; one brother, Andrew Dale Standlee; grandparents, JD and Janice Settles and Ed and Connie Standlee; Great-Granny, Alta Plott; uncles and aunts, David and Donna Settles, Mark and Alma Settles, Andy and Angie Kilgore and Todd and Jennifer Round; cousins, Shaun and Susan Matney, Jerald and Heather Lane, Aiden, Peyton and Addison Lane, Lydia, Rebekah and Daniel Settles, Mitchel Round, Shaelea, Kylie, Chloe and Sophie Kilgore, along with a host of other family, friends and classmates.

Andrea was preceded in death by her uncle, Andrew Settles and several great grandparents.

When answering the question "Who am I?" for her senior memory book, Andrea wrote, "I am a Christian and I love the Lord, Jesus Christ with all of my heart." These were not just words for this young lady, but it was the way she lived her life. Andrea had a way of touching hearts. It may have been her smile; it may have been her dedication to family and friends. It could have been her kind and caring ways, or even her courage, for not just anyone could wear a camouflage dress and boots to prom. Whatever the case, Andrea focused on loving everyone, and everyone loved Andrea.

In eighteen precious years, Andrea Dawn Standlee showed us how to love, and this community angel will be missed forever, but remembered always.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 17, 2010 at Blue Eye Middle School Gym with Freddie Blevins, Rod VanGorkom and Curtis Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Blue Eye Middle School Gym.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Andrea Standlee Memorial Fund at Metropolitan National Bank.
