Eufemia Agnes, 74 of Grover Beach, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Pedflor Alejandro Residential Care Facility for the Elderly.
Eufemia was born in the town of Piddig, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Canuto Agnes and Segundina Baltazar on March 16, 1937, the eldest of three children.
Her father, a soldier of the United States Army Forces-Far East, passed away during the Second World War in December of 1942.
While her mother, widowed for three years, remarried in 1945 and emigrated to the United States in 1978 to join her second husband who came to California earlier as an immigrant.
She lived with her sister in Manila for quite some time to work and spend her available time with her nephews and nieces whom she greatly adored.
In 1995 she immigrated to California to join her mother and her half brothers and sisters.
Living on the farm at an early age made her an expert gardener, growing her own vegetables, fruits and flowering plants and she loved crocheting and music as well.
Eufemia is survived by her brother, Andres Canuto Agnes and sister, Concepcion Suguitan; half sisters, Vicky, Letty and Cynthia; half brothers, Amor, Nestor and Eddie; Nephews Arsenio, Noel, Bobby, Jeffrey, Spencer, Kris, Kenneth, Neil and Greg; Nieces, Fe, Marissa, Evelyn, Gina, Sheena and Melissa.
