Mrs. Fred (Pearl) Hartmann
Mrs. Pearl M. Hartmann, 68 of 234 E. Eckman, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday in her residence after a sudden illness. She was the co-owner of Pearl's Grill before her retirement in 1971. She was born on Nov. 30, 1909, in Oconto, Wis., and had lived here since 1936, when she came from Battle Creek, Mich. On Aug. 17, 1938 in Battle Creek, she married Fred Hartmann, who survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Hoy of Anaheim, Calif.; three granddaughters; a great-grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. Marcella Clauser of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Dorothy Skinner of Grand Junction, Mich., Mrs. Margaret Groll of Oconto, Wis., and Hres. Helen Verdigan of Kewaunee, Wis., and four brothers, Charles Helmer of Lamirada, Calif., William Helmer of Chicago, and Wesley and Hugh Helmer, bothe of Milwaukee.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Matther Cathedral, Bishop Joseph R. Crowley, rector, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Mrs. Hartmann was a member of the church and the Rosary Society of the church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Weisheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, where a parish rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Friday.
