Patricia Anne McCarthy, 67, died Saturday Oct. 31, 1998, at the home of her daughter, Kimberly M. Rzomp, of Chambersburg.
She was the daughter of the late William and Grace Shealer.
She was a 60 year member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Gettysburg, and attended St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg. She was a member of the senior choir of St. John's.
For 15 years she owned and operated the Candy Jar in Gettysburg. She also was a teacher's aide for 8 years in the Gettysburg Area School District.
Mrs. McCarthy was a member of the Women's Club of Gettysburg and Senior ACTS. She was a member, tour director and organizer/director of the senior chorus of the AARP, Gettysburg, and was a past president of Gettysburg Soroptimist Club.
Thomas H. McCarthy, her husband, died in 1994.
Besides her daughter Kimberly, surviving is another daughter Koren P. McCarthy-Boyce of Pottstown, a granddaughter, 3 sisters, Mildred Barnes, M. Eleanor Culp and Coretta Redding, all of Gettysburg, 3 brothers, Grayson D. Shealer of Waynesboro, Billy Shealer of Carlisle and Richard C. Shealer of Asper.
