FALLBROOK - Corinne B. Aafedt, 89, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, of old age.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1912 in Fordville, N. D. She retired in 1971 from Hughes Aircraft Corp. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. She had sung with a big band. Along with her sisters, she sang gospel music on the radio in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Aafedt was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Aafedt, on Feb. 2, 1992; and sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Dale Thomas.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell and Judy Aafedt of Fallbrook, Richard and Ginger Aafedt of Pleasanton, and Douglas Aafedt of Roanoke, Va.; sister Anges and Armand Willer of Vista and Hemet; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday , Feb. 16, at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary, 333 N. Vine St., in Fallbrook, with the Rev. Dennis Nelson, Lutheran pastor from West Covina, officiating. Interment will follow at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary is handling arrangements.
