Marion Whaley Annin
Marion Whaley Annin, 77, passed away Wednesday at her home with her family at her side. She had endured an extended illness.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth; a son and a daughter; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
By her request, a private graveside service will be held at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; and three sisters.
She was born in Casa Grande, AZ in 1921 and in 1929 the family moved to Vista, where she attended second grade at the Jefferson School. Shortly thereafter, the family homesteaded in DeLuz and operated a private gold mine. In 1935 she entered Fallbrook High School where she met her husband. They married six months after graduation in 1939. In 1940 they started a construction business in Vista. Her husband served on the Vista City Council and as Mayor. She was a much loved first lady of Vista. She was a devoted mother and business partner with her husband in the family enterprise which is today known as Annin Plumbing.
