Nieves Fleming, 77
FALLBROOK - Nieves Flores "Nevy" Fleming, 77, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, in Fallbrook.
Born Nov. 18, 1922, in San Pablo, Laguna, Philippines, she lived in Fallbrook 30 years.
She was a homemaker and attended National Teachers College.
She taught elementary school in Manila, Philippines. She taught English as a second language and was vice-president of FAST Airways in Manila.
She was a pink lady volunteer and a member of Bona Dela Club.
Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Fleming, in 1971.
She is survived by her sons, James Fleming Jr. of Honolulu, Theodore Fleming of Fallbrook, Darrell Fleming, Mark Fleming and Peter Fleming all of Kauai, Hawaii; daughters Patricia Smith of Hobart, Ind., Rebecca Hui of Hong Kong, Susan Woosley of Boise, Idaho, Jacqueline Fleming of Delta Junction, Alaska, and Maria Carol "Maya" Fleming of Fallbrook; brothers Pedro Aquino of San Diego and Rey Aquino of Venice Beach; sisters Gloria Atienza of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Esther Cabrejas and Afring Manas, both of Manila; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 14, at Berry-Bell & Hall Chapel.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec . 15, also at Berry-Bell & Hall Chapel, with the Rev. Pedro Flores Aquino Jr. of Rhema Baptist Church in Mira Mesa officiating.
Interment will follow at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery.
