Phillip Maranda Board, 61, of Modesto died suddenly in his home yesterday. A lineman for the Bell Telephone System for 20 years, he had lived in the Modesto area for the past eight years. He was a native of Texas. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by three sons, Morris J. Board of New Mexico, Phillip Board and Harvey Board, both of Los Angeles; two daughters, Carolyn Board and Sue Board, both of Los Angeles; two brothers, Arthur Board of Georgia and Irving Board of Texas; three sisters, Lillian Thompson of Modesto, Myra Skaggs and Ethel Clawson, both of Texas, and several grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Franklin & Downs Funeral Home.
