At the onset of her illness, she moved to Gladstone, Missouri where she passed away at the home of her son and daughter-in-law.
Dottie was an employee of the Boeing Aerospace Company and a retiree of Lockheed Martin Aerospace both located in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She was widowed at the time of her passing. Her late husband was Frederick Lewis McCann of Spokane, Washington. She is survived by one son, Michael Wayne McCann Sr, daughter-in-law Lisa McClary McCann, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Cremation of the remains was handled by Stein & McClure Chapel in Kansas City, Missouri. As per Dottie's request, a private scattering of her ashes was at Crystal Lake in the Big Snowy Mountains of Montana at an undisclosed location.
I love you mama, rest in peace, as you found so little of it in life.
