Igor O. Pantuhoff is a russian american who was famous for his bright chalky-like portrait paintings. One of his clients was that of Princess Grace of Monaco.

He was the younger son of Oleg O. Pantuhoff, the president of a Russian Boys Scout Organization.

Sometime after the Russian revolution of 1917, the family packed what they could from their home in St Petersburg and escaped to Crimea and eventually to Constantinople.

In 1923, they emigrated to the United States.

In 1927, he studied at the National Academy of Design Arts in New York.

In 1933, "Town and Country" magazine (Feb. 15. Vol. 87) printed on their front cover one of his portrait paintings, his popularity soared.
