DEATH OF GEORGE T. BELL Passes Away at His Home After an Illness Lasting Three Months George T. Bell died yesterday morning at the home of his son, George C. Bell, 602 South Ninth street, of heart trouble, from which he had been suffering for some time. He had been confined to his home for three months. Deceased was born in Newcastle, Pa., March 8, 1835 and came west with his parents in 1845, locating at Galena, Ill. The same year when a boy of but ten years, he came to LaCrosse alone on a steamboat trip. In 1854 he removed here with his parents and located permanently. Thus for half a century he has been a resident of the city. Mr. Bell was a painter by trade and was one of the leading men in his business here for many years. Deceased was well known by all of the old settlers. He leaves two sons, George C. and Willard A. of LaCrosse. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of George C. Bell. Rev. Henry Goodsell will officiate and interment will be made in Oak Grove cemetery.
