Bess and Harry Divorced when I was about 9 months old. I was not told of her until I discovered the "secret" (having been raised to believe my stepmother was my mother) via some old papers in the attic, the week I turned 14 in 1942. "On the sly" I quickly found her living in New Orleans, LA. First saw her while I was in the army at Ft. McClellan, AL, April 1946. Then again several times, including a 2-week stay with her in Los Angeles when I was discharged in July, 1947. She led a very sad life; never married again. Had artistic and musical talent. HDAjr.
