The daughter of John H. and Celia E. (Baker) Dunn, Mrs. Dunavan came to Kansas with her parents and brother and grew up on a farm north of Clifton.
On Oct. 6. 1897 she was married to George Dunavan. They lived on the farm their entire married life, most of the time in Washington County. To this union were born three sons: Ralph, Floyd and Clarence.
After the death of her husband, on Dec. 6. 1938, Mrs. Dunavan made her home with her brother, Lloyd Dunn, until his death in 1971. Since then she made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dunavan in Hiawatha, KS, where she passed away.
Services were held at Turner's Funeral Home Chapel at Clifton with Rev. Charles J. Carson officiating, and burial was in the Roscoe Cemetery north of Clifton.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sons, Floyd and Clarence. Survivors included seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
