Edna was seventh of 10 children and was born near the McKnight community to Addison & Louetta Boggs. Edna attended the O.M. Church and School that once stood near the O.M. Cemetery. At the age of 18 Edna married James Floyd Wilhite on 20 Sep 1931 in Hollis OK. Floyd and Edna moved to California in the mid 1930's. While living in there two children were born to this union. A son that died at birth and a daughter named Lawanda June. Floyd was employed by the irrigation district in southern California near Westmoreland. Both were also employed in the shipyards before returning to Harmon County around 1943. They purchased a farm in Harmon County, O.M. Community, near Floyd's Aunt Mattie and Uncle John Perkins. Floyd's parents, Zeb & Donie lived on a farm owned by John & Mattie near the Texas state line. Floyd & Edna both worked very hard on the farm raising cotton and feed for the farm animals. At that time two other children were born, a daughter, Diane Kay, and a son, Terry Elvoy. Edna died in 1970 at the young age of 56 and was buried at O.M. Cemetery. Edna was a member of the O.M. Church and the Ladies Quilting Group where she enjoyed fellowship and friendship with her friends.
