Joe Lueras, 60, passed away suddenly February 23, 2012, at Portneuf Medical Center with his loving wife, Kaylene, at his side.
He was born June 17, 1951, in Corona, New Mexico, to the late Louis Lueras and Pauline Lueras-Killough. Joe attended school and grew up in Grants, New Mexico. During high school Joe began working in several different gas stations and advancing to managing and finally owning his own station.
On December 31, 1993, he married his best friend, Kaylene Kremin, in their home in Grants, New Mexico. Shortly after they moved to Pocatello, Idaho, and he began working at Frasure Construction until a neck surgery that forced him to retire at the age of 50.
Joe loved the times he spent fishing with his boys at Rockland, where a lot of good memories were made. He was an avid collector and his collections included clocks, items with wolves and eagles, and unique rocks.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Louis Lueras. He is survived by his wife, Kaylene of Pocatello; mother, Pauline Lueras Killough of Nampa; sons, David Wayne Lueras of Ohio, Brandon Skenandore (Autumn), Trent Skenandore (Aleasha); two grandchildren, Jennasey Skenandore and Alexander Skenandore, all of Pocatello; sister, Betti Ann Worthen (Bob) of Nampa, Idaho; brothers, Frank Lopez (Patrice) of Tucson Ariz., Jess Lopez (Karin) of Woodland, Calif., Michael Lueras of Albuquerque, N.M.; and brother-in-law, Terry Kremin (Darcy) of Concord, Calif.
Joe will be greatly and deeply missed by all those that loved him, including his cats.
Per his wishes his cremation has taken place by Downard Funeral Home.
