Miss Alice M. Jones, 79, active
church and civic worker, died
Wednesday at her home, 9826
Capitol View avenue, Forest
Glen, Md.
A native and lifelong resident
of Forest Glen, she was the
daughter of Copeland Parker and
Mary Jones.
Miss Jones taught Sunday
school at Grace Episcopal Church,
Silver Spring, for 30 years.
She was an active worker in
Red Cross and Community Chest
drives. Miss Jones had also been
a member of the Silver Spring
Women's Democratic Club.
Miss Jones is survived by three
sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Stavro
and Miss Margarita F. Jones,
both of the home address, and
Mrs. Blanche Keating, 9822 Cap-
itol View avenue.
Services will be held at 2:30
p.m. tomorrow at the Grace
Episcopal Church, Georgia ave-
nue and Grace Church road, Sil-
ver Spring. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
