Rolling Pickup Kills Grandson - Blanchard
A 2 year old boy was killed when a pickup slipped out of gear and rolled over him, Blanchard Police Chief Greg Hansen said Wednesday. The boy was playing with toys about 45 feet in front of the truck about 3:30pm Tuesday, on his grandfather's land near Sand Rock Road. The farm is a quarter mile east of State Highway 76 in Blanchard, Hansen said.
The boy's grandfather, James Morgan, was working on a fence in a nearby gulley when the parked pickup apparently slipped out of gear and rolled downhill. The boy was killed instantly. The death was investigated as a farming accident.
