Mr. Andrus came to Springfield twelve years ago from Alton. His wife is the former Margaret Reed, whom he married forty-two years ago.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Richard, Meril and Louis of this city, and Virgil of Alton; eight daughters, Mrs. Cora Sanders and Mrs. Verra Herndsez of Alton, MRs. Alta Widner, Mrs. Wilma Kay and Miss Freida Andrus of city, Mrs. Mildred Beck of Hardin, Mrs. Hilda Boissau and Mrs. Grace Tracy of East St. Louis; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One son was killed in action during the World war.
Funeral services at the residence and Church of God. Interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
