TOLEDO - A coasting accident had cost the life Saturday of Ethel Anderson, 20 and brought serious injuries to Myra Muckler, her companion.
They were coasting on a sled here, towed by a car driven by John Metz, Tama, Ia. Coming to a hill, the girls broke their tow and started to coast dwn the incline. A truck driven by Vernon Olson, 19, Tama, skidded into the sled killing Miss Anderson.

Anderson Funeral Held at Toledo
Toledo, Ia. - The funeral of Miss Ethel Anderson, Toledo, who was killed Saturday evening when a sled on which she was coasting near town was struck by a truck, was conducted Tuesday afternoon. Services sere in the Methodist Espicopal church, with Rev. Hartong officiating. Music was by Mrs. W. A. Pye. Mr. M. R. Thompson, H. P. Giger and Roger Fee, who sang Miss Anderson's favorite hymns.
Honorary bearers were: Misses Henrietta Amidon, Fay Carter, LaRue Emerson, Evelyn Henderson, Ruth Wild, and Mrs. Wilma Ellis. Bearers were: George McKinney, Ashley Edsall, Kemit Boles, Harold Boles, Ernest Mayo, and Virgil Flynn.
The class of 1931 of Toledo high school of which she was a member and the Rebekah lodge in which she recently had been enrolled attended as units.
