James Bullis Moore was the son of Ralph Summers Moore and Betty Bullis Moore. He served his country during World War II in the Pacific theater as a TEC 5 in Company F, 533rd Amphibious Engineers. He was the husband of Lila Matoka Troutman Moore Keever and the father of a son, James Reid Moore, Sr. and a daughter, Susan Gayle Moore Holbrook.
