Neil R. ADELSBERGER, 92, Hancock, Died Thursday, March 17, 1994 at the Washington County Hospital.
Born in Fulton County, February 22, 1902, he was the son of the late Earl and Annie PECK ADELSBERGER.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret WINK ADELSBERGER, in 1981.
He had been employed as a mechanic for Rauth Motors and Kirk Ford in Hancock, retiring in 1968 after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the Hancock United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Warfordsburg IOOF Lodge No. 601; the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics Council No. 117, Berkley Springs; the Gilead Encampment No. 6 of the IOOF, Hagerstown; a former member of the Warfordsburg Lions Club; a former member and Treasure of the Hancock Volunteer Fire Co. and also a former member of the fire& police.
He is survived by one son, T. Lester ADELSBERGER of Hagerstown; one brother, Walter ADELSBERGER of Hancock; two grandchildren; Kevin ADELSBERGER of Madison, VA and Jeff ADELSBERGER of Hagerstown and a close friend, Jessie BREAKALL of Hancock.
He was preceded in death by one son, Larry N. ADELSBERGER in 1961.
Services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 20 at the Hancock United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert G. Brennan, Jr. and Rev. Ed Voorhaar officiated. Burial was made in Tonoloway Baptist Cemetery, Needmore.
The Grove Funeral Home in Hancock was in charge of arrangements.
