At the age of 13 years she moved with her parents to Carroll county Missouri and has since made her home here. She was educated in rural schools.
When 23 years of age she married Leander B. Jenkins who died Junuary 5th, 1922. They made their home for a time on a farm east of Carrollton. Later they moved to Wakenda where for a number of years Mr.Jenkins was engaged in the mercantile business. Disposing of this business they moved to Carrollton in 1890. Both Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins continued to reside here until death.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by one daughter and two sons: Miss Olla Jenkins,Kansas City; Elmer Jenkins, St. Louis; and Herman Jenkins, Kansas City Kan. Another daughter, Jessie, preceded her mother in death. Two sisters also survive: Mrs. Etta Lee, Kansas City and Mrs. Lizzie Bagby, Maryville Mo.
