Patrick was born in San Diego and was the only child of Bertha and Robert Anglim.
He enlisted in the Marines 25 October 1965, at the Los Angeles Recruiting Station.
When Patrick arrived in Vietnam 25 September 1967, he was assigned to 1st Platoon of Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
While participating in Operation Auburn, Patrick died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest
from rifle fire, during an engagement against enemy forces, at LZ Hawk, Bao An Dong, Go Noi Island.
Patrick was single and served his country for 2 years, 2 months and 3 days was KIA #19,462.
He had been in Vietnam for 3 months and 3 days and was 20 years, 1 month and 7 days old.
Survived by his mother, Bertha Grace Anglim of 1165 1/2 Walnut Ave, Long Beach, CA.
Father, Robert H Anglim, of unknown address.
NOTE:
Patrick and Robert were buried next to each other. They were lifetime schoolmates and friends and both were only sons and from Long
Beach, California.
